I guess we're going to have to get used to hearing that automakers are ditching certain new vehicle programs. Suzuki has reportedly shelved plans for the Kizashi sedan. Suzuki unveiled the Kizashi 3 Concept earlier this year and the vehicle was supposed to hint at a new midsize Suzuki sedan.
The Kizashi sedan was expected by the middle of this year as a 2010 model, but according to Japanese newspaper Nikkei those plans have been killed. According to the Automotive News, the decision is due to the suffering global auto market. Suzuki’s CEO Osamu Suzuki stated that the project is likely to be canceled due to the declining sales of the segment.
